This morning, the City of Pigeon Forge officially broke ground on a new attraction – the Ripken Experience Pigeon Forge! This brand new, state-of-the-art, youth baseball complex officially started construction today in Pigeon Forge, with a groundbreaking ceremony featuring none other than the baseball legend, Cal Ripken, Jr., himself, along with other City officials. This brand new $22.5 million youth baseball complex will feature six different baseball stadiums that will replicate professional fields, along with a 2-story, 14,000 square foot clubhouse, among other notable features of this new facility. The Mayor of Pigeon Forge, David Wear, expects the new facility to bring about $40 million in revenue each year to the City, with construction being completed in December 2015, and officially opening for play in March 2016.
