Happy Easter from The Jason White Team

From all of us here with The Jason White Team and Century 21 Four Seasons Realty, Inc., we want to wish everyone a very happy and safe Easter!  There are a number of events going on in and around the Great Smoky Mountains region to celebrate Easter.  One such event is Gatlinburg’s Annual Easter Sunrise Service which will be enhanced by the beauty of the Smokes when the community and its visitors gather at Ober Gatlinburg for this memorable worship service.  This will be the 19th year for the mountain top services at Ober Gatlinburg.  The 30-40 minute mountain service will begin at 6:30 A.M., and be led by local pastors of the Gatlinburg Ministerial Association.

The Old Mill Square Potter House Cafe and Grill will be hosting their annual Brunch with the East Bunny on March 30th.  From 9:30 to 11:30 AM, kids can enjoy Easter egg decorating, kid-friendly music, and old-fashioned games – all for free!  The fun and games will continue until 2:00 PM.  The brunch requires reservations.  Adult price is $13, while kids ages 12 and under are only $6.00.

Right now, the Gatlinburg area is enjoying the Smoky Mountain SpringFest, featuring a number of Spring-related events going throughout the season, for people of all ages to enjoy.  Also, Dollywood continues to host its annual Festival of Nations event, through April 19th, featuring entertainment from around the world, throughout the theme park.

The members of the Great Smoky Mountain Arts and Crafts Community will be coming together once more to host their annual Easter Arts & Crafts show.  Held at the Gatlinburg Convention Center, the event is from March 28th through the 30th.

Celebrating Spring In The Great Smoky Mountains

Early blooms, warm weather and news of  the in The Great Smoky Mountains National Park are all sure signs that spring is upon us. Registration has begun for this 5 day long annual event that will lead participants through all of the spring beauty the Smoky Mountains have to offer. Let’s take a look at what you can expect to find on this adventure.

The event will begin on April 25th with a luncheon at W.L. Mills Conference Room. The event offers 134 professionally guided walks on the trails in The Great Smoky Mountains National Park as well as indoor presentations in Mills Conference Center and Sugarlands Training Room in Gatlinburg.

The event began in 1951 as a two-day event. Hundreds of participants attended from 20 different states. The event was featured in National Geographic magazine. During that first year, Lucinda Ogle worried that the weather would prevent access to many outdoor events and presented flower specimens from her own garden in a case of Coca-Cola bottles at one of the evening meetings. The Coke bottle flower garden is still a big part of the Spring Wildflower Pilgrimage and features over 100 different plant species. Today the number of participants has doubled and it is a great educational and social event for anyone wanting to learn more about the native plant species and take an opportunity to get outdoors to enjoy the beautiful spring weather.

Along with these tours and sessions you can enjoy the gallery of Smoky Mountain art and plant displays or get involved and volunteer to help with the event by contacting Holly at . This is a non-profit event that depends on the support of local organizations and volunteers to provide the wide variety of experiences each year.

Registration is open online at their along with a large amount of additional information. This is a great time to plan a spring trip to get to know more about the Great Smoky Mountains and see all of the reasons it is a dream location for a vacation home or full-time living. While you are in the area give us a call or send us an email, we would be happy to discuss more area information and help you begin your for a Smoky Mountain home.
