Latest Report from Freddie Mac Projects Home Sales for 2015 to Hit 2007 Levels

A new report from Freddie Mac offer a very encouraging outlook for 2015 home sales, in that expected home sales for this year are expected to hit levels not seen since 2007, prior to the Great Recession of 2008. According to Freddie Mac’s latest U.S. Economic & Housing Market Outlook, U.S. home sales in 2015 will show increase to the numbers associated with a normal, typical real estate market. This report predicts that “we are projecting a 4 percent rise in sales to 5.6 million, which would mark the highest level of annual sales since 2007.” In addition, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) also agree with this prediction, as evidenced by the chart below:
